A 12-day Catholic Pilgrimage Tour to Ireland, Scotland & England

May 25, 2025 – Sunday
TERRYVILLE / BOSTON / IRELAND
Today we gather for our bus ride to Boston, where we will board our direct flight to Ireland. Meals are served on board our transatlantic flight.

May 26, 2025 – Monday
DUBLIN
This morning we arrive in Dublin where we meet our Pilgrimage Tours’ tour director and board our motor coach. We enjoy a motor coach tour of Ireland’s capital, including a drive by the Christ Church Cathedral, or Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, founded by the Danes in 1030. We arrive at Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church, where we will celebrate Mass and see the Shrine of Our Lady of Dublin. In the afternoon we will visit Trinity College, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I, and tour its historic library and view the world-famous Book of Kells. Finally, we arrive at our hotel for check-in. Dinner and overnight in Dublin.

May 27, 2025 – Tuesday
DUBLIN
Today we will visit and celebrate Mass at Saint Mary’s Pro Cathedral. Following Mass, we will visit the Legion of Mary, a lay organization whose members volunteer their time in service of the Catholic Church. Here we will learn about the life’s work of Frank Duff, “Servant of God”, who founded the Legion of Mary in 1921. In the afternoon we will visit the Kilmainham Gaol (Jail), which housed many prisoners from the Irish Rebellion of 1916. Our day of sightseeing in Dublin concludes with a visit to the highly renowned Guinness Brewery and its “Storehouse”, including its Hop Store and Visitor’s Centre. Here we sample the brewery’s latest batch of their famous libation from high atop their observation deck overlooking Dublin. This evening we will visit the Merry Ploughboys to experience their famous “Irish Night & Banquet Show”, including traditional ballads, music & dance. Overnight in Dublin.

May 28, 2025 – Wednesday
DUBLIN / KNOCK / BELFAST
Today we drive to Knock, where we visit the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of Knock, the single most important Marian Shrine in all of Ireland. We visit and celebrate Mass in the Apparition Chapel where the apparition of Our Lady, Saint Joseph and Saint John the Evangelist occurred and was witnessed by some 15 people in 1879. Following Mass, we enjoy some free time to explore the Sanctuary’s grounds, including a visit to the shrine’s museum. Later in the afternoon we depart for Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, where we will stop by the Harland & Wolff shipyard where we will see the “Sampson & Goliath” cranes where the Titanic was built. We arrive for a visit to the Titanic Museum. Finally, we arrive at our hotel for dinner and overnight in Belfast

May 29, 2025 – Thursday
BELFAST / GLASGOW / EDINBURGH
This morning we depart Belfast for its port to board our ferry for Scotland, arriving at the Scottish port of Cairnryan. In Glasgow we enjoy an orientation tour including a visit and celebration of Mass at Saint Andrew’s Cathedral. We continue on to Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, and known as “the Athens of the North”. Here we embark on an orientation tour of Edinburgh’s most notable landmarks, including its famous “Royal Mile”. We arrive at our hotel in Edinburgh for dinner and overnight.

May 30, 2025 – Friday
EDINBURGH / STIRLING
Following Mass this morning at St Andrew’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, we visit Sacred Heart Church before enjoying a drive to one of Scotland’s most famous towns; Stirling, where we visit its impressive Stirling Castle, which towers over the town. This castle once served as a royal residence for Mary Queen of Scots. Following free time to explore the local merchants, we return to Edinburgh for a visit to Saint Patrick’s Church, where we will visit the Shrine to the Venerable Margaret Sinclair (Sister Mary Francis of the Five Wounds) as well as a Shrine to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Dinner and overnight in Edinburgh.

May 31, 2025 – Saturday
EDINBURGH / YORK
Today, we depart Edinburgh for the historic city of York. Upon our arrival, we will see the city’s Roman and medieval walls along with York Minster, one of Europe’s largest Gothic cathedrals. Before dinner, we will visit and celebrate Mass at St. Wilfrid’s Church and will see the Shrine of St. Margaret Clitherow. Dinner and overnight York.

June 1, 2025 – Sunday
YORK / WALSINGHAM / LONDON
Our day begins with a drive to Walsingham to visit the Marian Shrine of Our Lady. In 1061 Mary appeared to a noble widow named Lady Richeldis who received instructions from the Virgin Mother of a house to be built on this site identical to her house in Nazareth. Walsingham became known as the “Little Nazareth”. Though the house was destroyed during the Reformation, archaeologists have unearthed its remains located near the Priory. We visit the Slipper Chapel, so named because pilgrims would leave their shoes there and walk the final mile to the shrine. We also see the Statue of Our Lady of Walsingham. Later in the afternoon, we continue to London and arrive at our hotel to check-in. Dinner and overnight in London.

June 2, 2025 – Monday
LONDON
This morning we arrive in London and enjoy a panoramic tour of the city where we see London’s historic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. We arrive for a visit and celebration of Mass at Westminster (Catholic) Cathedral, the Mother Church for English Catholics. The Cathedral is dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Following Mass we visit Westminster Abbey, originally built by Edward the Confessor in 1050, where rulers of England have been coronated since 1066. Our day of sightseeing concludes with a visit to the London Oratory, also known as the Brompton Oratory, founded by Blessed John Henry Newman, which serves as the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Finally, we arrive at our hotel in London for dinner and overnight.

June 3, 2025 – Tuesday
LONDON / CANTERBURY
Our day begins with a visit to St. Paul’s Cathedral, where Prince Charles and Lady Diana were married. The cathedral dates to 1666 and was built after the Great Fire of London. Next, we depart for Canterbury to see the Cathedral where Archbishop Thomas Beckett was martyred at the hands of King Henry II in 1170. The history of Canterbury dates to the time of St. Augustine who brought Christianity to England in 597. We visit Canterbury Cathedral, Mother Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Next, we visit St. Augustine Monastery and see its Oratory of Our Lady. We return to London and enjoy dinner on our own in a local restaurant. Overnight in London.

June 4, 2025 – Wednesday
LONDON
This morning we embark on a walking tour of London in the same neighborhood that St. Thomas More attended school. We will see the Lincoln Inn where Thomas More studied Civil Law upon his return from Oxford. Next, we visit and celebrate Mass at The Cathedral of the Holy Family, previously known as the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family in Exile. In the afternoon we visit the Tower of London where the Royal Family’s Crown Jewels are kept and where Thomas More, and many others such as John Fischer, Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard were imprisoned before their executions. It is here within the walls of the Tower of London that Thomas More and John Fisher, minus their heads, are buried in unmarked graves in the Royal Chapel of St. Peter in Chains. We also see Tower Hill where Thomas More was beheaded for refusing King Henry VIII’s demand that he swear his allegiance to the Act of Succession and to take the Oath of Supremacy of the Crown. From here we arrive on the banks of the River Thames to enjoy a river cruise sightseeing tour. This evening, we enjoy our “farewell dinner” at a local restaurant.

June 5, 2025 – Thursday
LONDON / BOSTON / TERRYVILLE
Today we bid farewell to Ireland, Scotland & England. We arrive at the airport and board our flight home. Though our pilgrimage draws to a close, its blessings will last a lifetime and its graces are certain to draw us closer to the Lord.
